When we set out to create our child care service, our purpose was to get as close to the needs of children as possible — whether those needs are vital or secondary, which matter just as much.

The layout and the spirit of the premises deliberately echo the image of a family home: an entrance, a dining room, a place to play, a place to sleep, a bathroom and a garden. Le Monde Magique having settled into an old village house, the stone walls and exposed beams bring a cosy and welcoming note.

The team of Le Monde Magique is supervised by two directors, both nurses and qualified directors of early childhood institutions, with professional experience in the field since 1999.

We place particular emphasis on the adaptation period. It is a crucial phase for the child that should not be neglected.

Every new child welcomed to Le Monde Magique will go through an adaptation period. It is not set to a fixed length, but adapts to the needs of the child. At first the child comes with their parents and leaves with them. Then they come alone, at first for around thirty minutes, and step by step they spend more and more time with us until they take part in the so-called "key" moments of the day: a meal and a nap.

The child is our guideline. Our goal is to move forward with the child and their parents without ever rushing them. Child care is often the first social experience a child lives through; it is essential that it is a success and that it suits the child's own pace.

"Our pedagogy is centred on respecting the individual development of every child. Children must be able to discover things by themselves, while being guided by professionals. Autonomy is encouraged through targeted activities and small everyday gestures that are easy to reproduce at home."

Le Monde Magique is meant to be a place of exchange with parents in a healthy climate of trust. We respect different cultures and encourage children to respect them too. Everyone is entitled to express themselves freely and with no fear of judgment. We have at heart to offer every child, and therefore every parent, an optimal welcome of excellent quality.
